AUBURN - Adrienne McConnell Fennessy, 51, of 16 Paul St., Auburn, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004, at home with her family at her side. Adrienne was born in Auburn on March 10, 1952. She was the daughter of the late Joseph McConnell and Edna Wild McConnell. Adrienne was employed at Auburn Memorial Hospital as a licensed practical nurse and later as a registered nurse. She was a communicant of St. Alphonsus Church and a member of its Rosary Altar Society. She was a member and past president of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians Division Two.
Adrienne is survived by her loving and supportive family, her husband, Bruce Fennessy; her daughters, Veronica Fennessy and Jennifer Fennessy, both of Auburn, Rachael Hoadley and her husband, Vince of Cayuga; her sons, Christopher Fennessy and his wife, Gina of Auburn and Joseph Fennessy of Michigan; her mother, Edna McConnell; her sisters, Joan Lull, Mary (Kenneth) Oakley, Anne Marie (John) Caci, Theresa (Craig) Powers, all of Auburn; her brothers, Robert (Julia) McConnell of Owasco, Walter (Audrey) McConnell of Auburn, Joseph Jr. (J. Suzanne) McConnell of N. Syracuse, James (Pamela) McConnell, Michael (Edna B.) McConnell, Gregory McConnell of Auburn and Donald (Faye) McConnell of Texas; her sisters-in-law, Arlene (John) Howland, Gloria (Bernard) Offenburg, both of Auburn, Helen (Kenneth) Bush of N.C., Marilyn Gowers of Wolcott and Jean Carter of Auburn; her brothers-in-law, Donald (Jean) and Thomas (MaryJo) Fennessy both of Auburn; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, Adrienne was predeceased by two brothers, William, and Patrick who passed away February 2, 2004. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Alphonsus Church. Entombment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery. Friends may visit with her family 2 to 6 p.m. today at the White Chapel Funeral Home Inc., 197 South St., Auburn. Donations in memory of Adrienne Fennessy may be made to the St. Alphonsus Food Pantry, 10 Lewis St., Auburn.
Adrienne will always be remembered for her strength, courage, love of family and strong sense of faith. Her giving spirit has touched the lives of all who knew her.
