Douglas Goff Obituary
Douglas D. Goff OXFORD, Fla. - Douglas D. Goff, 83, passed away Friday, July 4, 2008. He was born in Iaeger, W.Va., and raised in Wytheville, Va. Mr. Goff was a retired building contractor and was a staff assistant for the C&P Telephone Company in Norfolk. He was a member of the Thalia United Methodist Church, Virginia Beach, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during World War II. He moved to Florida from Virginia Beach in 1982. He loved camping, traveling, woodworking, and loved nature and his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mildred Goff; two daughters, Pamela (Joel) Kossman of Virginia Beach, Jill (Pat) Iannatti of Chesapeake; and two grandsons, Ross and Drew Iannatti. Graveside memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Florida National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society or to Cornerstone Hospice, 601 Casa Bella, The Villages, FL 32162.
