VICTORY | Frederick B. Skinner, 77, of McNeeley Road, passed away Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012.
Fred was born Feb. 24, 1935, in Gouverneur, a son to the late Benjamin and Lila Bowman Skinner. He retired from the NYS Thruway Authority as a heavy equipment operator and was a veteran of the Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his wife, Gertrude; children, Jeff, Carl, Barbara, Julie, Fred, Ben, and Brad; several grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Laura) Arnold, of Victory; sisters Phyllis (Donald) Witherell, of Gouverneur, Audrey Lindstrom, of New Mexico, Eva Downey, of Victory, Velma Arnold, of Rome, N.Y. and Doris Auringer, of Hannibal; sister-in-law, Zinnia Skinner; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Mark, brother, Robert Skinner, Sr. and sister, Rita Wood.
Family and friends may call noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24 at Keysor Funeral Service, 11362 South St., Cato, where a funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Victory Union Cemetery.
