Joseph Lupo Obituary

TUCSON, Ariz. - Mr. Joseph Lupo, 69, of 3168 N. Romero Drive, Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Auburn, died Saturday, March 15, 2003.

A native of Auburn, he was the son of Michael and Catherine Lupo, a graduate of Auburn High School, and a former employee of the Dunn & McCarthy Shoe Co. and the Auburn Made Shoe Co. Along with his wife, Winifred DeLapp Lupo, the family has lived in Tucson since 1985. They were former members of St. Francis of Assisi Church, Auburn.

Surviving is his wife, Winifred Lupo of Tucson, Ariz.; their six children, Robert Lupo (Suni) of Atlanta, Ga., Ronald Lupo (Theresa) of Tucson, Ariz., Deborah Lupo of Atlanta, Ga., David Lupo of Richmond, Va., Donna L. Montrose (Jeremy) of Anchorage, Alaska, and Joey Lupo (LaDeska) of Tucson, Ariz.; six brothers, Frank, Tony, John, Paul, Thomas and James Lupo, all of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Sam and Peter Lupo.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Friday, March 21, in St. Francis of Assisi Church, Auburn, with the Rev. Peter DeBellis, pastor, as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Farrell's Funeral Service Inc., 84 South St., Auburn.
