Catherine Howard

1976-2014 CLERMONT, Fla. - Entered into the arms of the angels on March 18, 2014 in Florida, Catherine Alyison Hanson Howard, dearly beloved daughter of Mrs. Mary Louise Ivey Hanson and mother of Catherine s greatest treasure, her seven year old son, Alexander Jameson (AJ) Armstrong. Born in Augusta, she was an honour graduate of Harlem High School and Southern University Polytechnic State University, receiving degrees in Architecture and Urban Planning. Her professional career centered around the Orlando area in Florida as Planning Director of Osceola County, Orange County and the city of Groveland, as well as being involved in the Planning of Celebration, Florida. In addition to her mother, son and husband, left to forever cherish her memory are her devoted sister, Louise Hanson (Phillip) Smith of Columbia; her two uncles, Wyke and John Ivey of Augusta; together with countless dear and loyal friends. Committal services will be held Monday morning at eleven o clock (March 24, 2014) in The Ivey Family Plot at Westover Memorial Park in Augusta, officiated by The Reverend Doctor Bobby Coleman.
