To The family of Major J.D. Hardaway I send my sincere condolences over the loss of your father. J.D. and I were classmates at Richmond Academy, where we graduated in 1950. I happened to be the Class President of the Class of 1950. It was a true honor to know folks like J.D., having played(at) football with him for the Musketeers. He was a great athlete, and did his part to getus thru a terrible season in 1949, no fault of his I guarantee you. I served in the Army for 30 years and retired in 1986. I moved to Alabama then and am still here. I grew up in Augusta, ans still have part of my Famiuly there, plus numerous friends. I had wondered over the years where Your Dad was, and am elated that he served the United States Marines. You can rest assured that he is at Home with Our Lord where he will spend his time until we all can go meet him again. I ask Our Lord to watch over you folks always and keep you safe. Keep his memories handy so you can stop and remember all the good times in your lives. Bless you all and may Our Lord keep you safe.
