Dear Dorris family,
An old gentleman once told me, "People grow into their names." Joy was just that--JOY! She had a way of putting others at ease. She was quiet and busy. I did not have her patience for jigsaw puzzles! Wish I could have been there to add my presence to the tribute paid at her funeral. My prayers are with you. With love and respect.

Debbie, Mark and Al - May God be with you through this difficult time. Your mother was such a wonderful person to be around. I (Emily) first met her years ago when she worked for Dr. Scoggins. Then when Lindy and I worked for your dad we were able to know her a lot better. Just a remarkable person to be around. I last saw her a couple years ago.

Much Love to you All,

Lindy and Emily Kitchens, Evans, GA

Mimi was a wonderful lady, a great mother, fabulous grandmother, friend, teacher and so much more. Her name embodied what she truly was, a Joy. Everyone who knew her is a better person for the meeting. She raised a wonderful loving family and the world is a better place because you all are in it. She will be missed by all. Heaven is now just a bit brighter and the flowers there smelling sweeter with her touch.
My sympathies to you all.
