Gonna miss ya Uncle Ray. I know we didn't see each other much in life, but one day there is going to be a huge family reunion. I'll see ya when I get there. Paying for family and friends. Know this Uncle Ray has not stopped living. He may not be here with us in the flesh, but he is in spirit. Luke 20:38
He is not the God of the dead, but of the living, for to him all are alive."

I feel so blessed to have known Bro. Dixon. Even though I only talked with him at church, we did have several conversations and his love for the Lord came shining through. I always came away thinking that I'd love to just sit down and listen to him tell about his journey with the Lord. One day I will get to do that. After a million years we will have just begun, so we'll have plenty of time. As I was remembering him yesterday I thought of the words of a song. One of the verses speaks to that thought. "...when you feel you've shared your story with the last one who wants to hear you tell just how you made it through, look for me for I will be there too." Heaven is sweeter now!

Bro. Dixon we did not know you very long. I only had the privilege to shake your hand on Sunday mornings at the Friendship Church. I always admired you and Sister Dixon as I found it awesome how you and her grew old together and yet set so many examples to us how wonderful at could be to walk with the LORD and have a great marriage. I know you in heaven now with Kyle having a great time being with JESUS. At was a privilege to have knowing you, great man of God, husband, father, grand father, great grandfather and friend to many people. We are praying for your family for they miss you so much.

I rejoice in knowing that Bro. Dixon (aka Dad) is singing with the angels in Heaven right now but I grieve with the rest of the family in missing him on earth.
When I spoke to him last he told me, as he always did, Deb I call out your name and your family every night in prayer and always will. He preached many of my family members funerals, did weddings, and was just a wonderful man of God.... Heaven is a little richer now having him there. Even though he was human like the rest of us, he was above us with his walk with the Lord. I will always hold him in the highest respect and love. I love you all and am praying that as each day passes you know that it won't be long before we're all together again. I believe Jesus is coming soon.

I am so very sorry we won't make it out there but since we were just out there in May and again in September we just can't make it again. Breaks my heart that I won't be at my Uncle's funeral. The song that instantly came to mind when I was called about Granny Charlie dying was "When we all get to Heaven what a day of rejoicing that will be; when we all meet Jesus we'll sing and shout the victory!" and I think that applies to Ray as much, if not more than it did Granny. He worked his whole life to be where he is now, with his Lord and Savior!! I will cherish the memories we made back in September. Love you all very much!! (((((((HUGS))))))))
