Bernie Anderson Obituary

Anderson, Bernie 68, of Aurora, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011 at Provena Mercy Medical Center after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on July 23, 1942 in Hilland, South Dakota to Otto and Evelyn Anderson. Bernie was a very talented carpenter and worked for Local #363. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church. Bernie served his country in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Fort Ord, CA. Survivors include his wife, Julie (Wise) Anderson; his daughter, Lisa Anderson of Las Vegas, NV and two sons, Darrin Anderson of Aurora, IL and Eric Anderson of Aurora, IL. He is also survived by his sister, Jeannine Anderson of Rapid City, SD and his four grandchildren, Christian, Nicholas, Bryce and Jack. Bernie was preceded in death by his mother and father. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011 at 7 PM at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL. Visitation will be from 6-7 PM at church on Thursday. Cremation will follow services. Arrangements are being handled by The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL 60506. I'm so sorry I missed the service. Just found out . I'd would have been there. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. It's only been a little over a year for us. If you need to talk,cry,a hug,or silence, I'll be there. See you at church. God bless. "Virginia Hammond"
