Mildred L. "Millie" Tripp

1933 - 2018

Mildred "Millie" L. Tripp, age 84, of Yorkville, IL, passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Bickford Senior Living in Oswego, IL. She was born on July 20, 1933 in Kendall County, IL, the daughter of Clifford and Bernice (Johnson) Olson. Millie was united in marriage on August 1, 1959 to Herbert L. Tripp and they spent the next 42 happy years of their lives together until his passing on November 8, 2001. After his passing, she united her life with James Follmer. Millie was employed, for many years, as the branch manager of the Yorkville National Bank in Yorkville, IL. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Yorkville, IL. Millie was a charter member of the La Fox Chapter of American Business Women's Association (ABWA). She also enjoyed being a member of the Red Hat Society. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children, Keith Tripp of Mountain Home, AR, Scott Haas of Arizona, Jim Withrow of Florida, Bob Withrow of Plano, IL, Vicky Meyer of Sugar Grove, IL, and Diane Jennings of Missouri; daughter-in-law, Sue Withrow of Aurora, IL; her sixteen grandchildren; twenty three great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; her brother, Howard Olson; brother-in-law, Glenn Borneman; sisters-in-law, Mary Ann Olson and Joanne Olson; many nieces, nephews, and her companion in life, Jim Follmer of Yorkville, IL She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Bernice Olson; her husband, Herbert Tripp; her son, David Withrow; grandson, Derek Baumann; her brothers, Donald Olson and Stan Olson; her sister, Beryl Borneman and her sister-in-law, Sara Olson. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:30 AM on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home, 1617 N. Bridge St., Yorkville, IL with Pastor Michael Neel officiating. Interment will follow in the Millington-Newark Cemetery in Newark, IL. Friends may visit from 1:00 PM until 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 17, 2018 at the Nelson Funeral Home in Yorkville, IL.
