Nicolas U. Cabral Sr.

1950 - 2014

Cabral Sr., Nicolas U. 64, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Rush Copley Medical Center. He was born August 20, 1950. Nicolas was a longtime member of St. Therese Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was employed by Post/Nabisco for thirty nine years as an grain miller. He served as union President of local 343 Grain Millers and he was also a member and served as the past Secretary and Treasurer of the The Bakery, Confectionery, Tobacco Workers and Grain Millers Local 1. He was a member of the Third Ward and Latin American Clubs. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Survivors include loving wife, Suely Ann (Mireles) Cabral; two sons, Nicolas (Esmeralda) Cabral, Jr., Alejandro Cabral; his granddaughter, Angelina Cabral; three brothers, Jose Cabral, Armando Cabral, Gustavo (Mirna) Cabral; five sisters, Gloria (Guillermo) Hurtado, Araceli (Mario) Juarez, Maria Esther (Juan) Hernandez, Rosalba (Jesse) Alegria, Maricela Cabral; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicolas and Esther (Uvalle) Cabral; his daughter, Silvia Cabral, a brother, Gabriel Cabral. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY to St. Therese Church at 10:00 a.m., Fr. Michael Miller, MSC will officiate.
