William Pauley Obituary

William J. Pauley William J. Pauley (Sharky), 81, of Aurora, died Wednesday October 28, 2009 at Provena McAuley Manor. He was born in Aurora in 1928 to Wilber and Sophie Pauley. Bill was a lifetime Aurora resident, attending Sacred Heart School and Church. He spent 30 years working for Austin Western Co. from 1948 until the plant closed in November 1978, where he was known by most of his co-workers as Sharky. He also worked for Sealmaster Bearing and retired from Arthur Anderson Co. Bill was united in marriage to Lavinia Faye Gossett in 1962 and together they spent the next 43 years until her death in 2006. Bill loved the outdoors, camping and fishing. His family and friends will miss him. William is survived by his son, William A. (Ann) Pauley; daughter, Norma Jane (Terry) Johnson; grandchildren, Elizabeth Borris, Emily, Andrew and Adam Pauley; a great grandson, Preston Borris and a sister, Jean (Lee) Seraphin. Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Faye. Visitation will be held Friday, October 30, 2009 from 3-7 PM at The Healy Chapel, 332 West Downer Place, Aurora. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. at our Aurora Chapel. Interment will be at Lincoln Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Bill's name may be directed to Holy Angels Boy Scout Troop 26.
