Adele Neary Obituary
AGE: 80 • Berkeley
Adele Neary, 80, of the Holiday City South section of Berkeley, died Sunday, April 10, 2011, at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Adele was born, raised and lived in Jersey City before moving to Island Heights 48 years ago. She has been a resident of Holiday City South for the last five years. Adele was a Professional Fund Raiser for the Ocean County College Foundation in Toms River for many years. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, as well as a great cook. She gave of her love equally to everyone.
Adele was predeceased by her daughter, Janis M. Zimmermann, she is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, William F. Neary; a devoted daughter, Debra J. Neary of Seaside Heights; a dear sister, Carole Chiarelli of Barnegat; and her dear son in-law, Scott Zimmermann of Island Heights; and three loving grandchildren, Rachael Baum, Shane Capone, and Mitchell Zimmermann.
The family will receive friends for a memorial gathering from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday, April 16, with a memorial service at 3:30 p.m. at The Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, 145 St. Catherine Blvd., Toms River. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Janice Neary Zimmermann Scholarship Fund at the Ocean County College Foundation.
