Arthur Bernal Obituary
68, passed away on February 25, 2017 peacefully in his Apache Junction, AZ home. Born July 28th, 1948 in Superior, AZ. After high school he joined the United States Navy. He served in the Vietnam war as a corpsman with the 1st Marines. He later flew medivac missions into Vietnam from the USS Sanctuary. After being honorably discharged he began to raise a family and working for Motorola. He retired from Motorola after 25 years of service. In his retirement he was an active member of the VFW post 9399. He is survived by (Daughters) Kim Gillespie of Peoria, Ill, Sherry Lindsay of Apache Junction, AZ, Kiko Ulmer of San Tan Valley, AZ. (Sons) Derek Gillespie of Apache Junction, AZ and Arthur (Mason) Bernal of San Tan Valley, AZ. (10 Grandchildren) Ashley, Amanda, Jared, Emily, Amanda Jo, Brayden, Cameron, Brooklyn, Bryson, and Braelyn. Great Granddaughter Azra Lindsay. (Sisters) Bonnie Kepler, Kriss DesRochers, and Mary Bernal. (Brothers) Peter, Paul, and Patrick Bernal. Preceded in death with Emma Bernal (Wife), Ruiz Bernal (Daughter), and Arthur Roger and Mary Kathleen Bernal (Parents). Viewing 5-8 PM March 1st, 2017 at the Mountain View Funeral Home, 7900 E. Main St. Mesa, AZ 85207. Funeral Service 9:30 AM March 2nd, 2017 at Our Lady of Mount Carmel. 2121 S. Rural Rd. Tempe, AZ 85282 Will be laid to rest in the Mesa Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in the name of Arthur and Emma Bernal to Integrity Hospice Care, 6877 S. Kings Ranch Rd. Suite #1, Gold Canyon, AZ 85118
