Curtis Martin Obituary
Curtis Lavon Martin, 69, of Keaau Hawaii passed away suddenly on November 27th, 2010 at his home in Keaau. Curtis was born in Phx, AZ and attended Ann Ott grade school and Phoenix Union High School. He was a member of the IBEW local 640 from which he retired in 2009. He was an avid gardener and was very happy living his dream for the 16 months he had in Hawaii. He often said, "It is so nice to have a yard that will never be done." Curtis is survived by his wife of 45 years, Karen Martin of Keaau, HI; daughters, Jo Dee Hulsebus and fiancé Robert ("Po") McDaniel of Glendale AZ, Kyle Sue (Chad) Tucker of Milford, N.H., Susan (Jim) Fuller of Phx, AZ; Son, Dan (Charlene) Martin of Phx, AZ; brothers, Jack (Michelle) Martin of Las Vegas, NV, Keith (Lou) Martin of Antioch, CA; sister, Patricia Martin of Phx, AZ ; 15 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and 1 great grandchild on the way. In lieu of flowers, donations suggested to the Hawaii Island Humane Society in Keaau, HI 96749.

Curtis will be missrd by his classmates. I went to grade school and high school with him. Such a nice guy. So glad he got to live his dream. Our sympathy to Karen and family.

Curtis was a conscientious man of good character. His dream was to retire to Hawaii with his wife, Karen. They worked hard and accomplished this, however, Curtis' hard work ethic took a toll on his body and we lost this good man too soon. We miss you, Curtis. My sincere sympathy to Karen and their children.

Curtis was an old class mate and we did not hang out much but we were friends and at the reunions we got to be better aquainted. I will miss him as much as our classmates will. Go coyotes class of 59. danny bugh
