I am ever so grateful that nearly 25yrs ago I met Doris one day after school when Kelli invited me over. She made me feel so comfortable and from then on I knew the door was always open. Doris, I thank you (and Larry) for opening that door and allowing me the into your home at anytime. By doing so you allowed a freindship to blossom and grow into one that to this day still exists, but is stronger than we ever imagined it would be 25yrs ago. You will me missed.

I worked with Doris for many wonderful years, when I first met her she appeared to be a reserved "Southern Belle". Boy, was I wrong! I sat in a cubicle with her and two other close friends, we were the 'party gang' of the Unit. There was never a dull moment with Doris, she had a fiery spirit and a sparkle in her eye. Things were never the same at work when she retired. I was very fortunate to have her as a friend, and I was always able to confide in her as a 'mother'. There will always be a special place in my heart for Doris, we were so much alike and so many years apart, coworkers use to say that I was a 'little Doris' That was the biggest compliment anyone could give me. My sincere condolences to her family.
