Dear Anita and Teresa, I remember your dad so well. I think I saw him pretty much everyday at the Operations Center. I am sorry to hear he passed away. Love from my family to yours.

He was key to my career path. Always had a hello and a smile. Smart, cool headed, direct, generous and a role model. I miss him.

I lost a good friend this morning. Herb Robinson
Herb died at his home with his wife Barbara comforting him to the end
Some of you who worked at First National Bank of Arizona or the data processing company (Western Bancorp Data Processing Company, later First Interstate Services Company) will know him. He was the Operations Manager in Arizona for a number of years.
In 1975, when the data processing company was formed, Herb and I spent a lot of time together traveling around the western states to discuss with the various bank executives and data processing staff the plans for managing their computer operations and development staff. Herb was the “operations man” I was the “development guy”.
After Pat died in August 2015, Herb called me to give his condolences. From that time on, Herb would call me nearly every Tuesday night at exactly 7pm (unless one of us was away, there were very few Tuesdays that phone did not ring on the dot at 7). Sometimes there was laughter, sometimes there were tears and sometimes we resolved the world’s problems but the call always ended with “Ta-Ta” {this is London cockney slang for the abbreviation T T F N, "ta-ta for now". When his wife Barbara called this morning to let me know the sad, but not unexpected news, she ended with ”Ta-Ta”
The photo was taken in 1991 in Honolulu with Herb and his first wife, Betty.
I’ll miss those phone calls . RIP my friend

Herb was a master of crafts in the wood working hobby and he shared his talents a few times with my son, Jared. He will be missed. He never seemed to stop living life!
My love and peace go out to you, Barb.

Herb and Betty...and later with Barbara visited our home in Hawaii many times over the past 60 years. My wife and I will miss them dearly. We thank him for the many fine koa wood products that he gifted us over the past 60 years. We lost a good friend. Herb, may you rest in piece.

Barbara - I'm so sorry for your loss of Herb. It is hard to believe that a guy who was bigger than life is now gone. He will leave a big empty spot in my heart. I know he loved you very much and that he was loved by many and will be missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.
