Monica Garcia Obituary

Monica Garcia

Monica Garcia was born on September 16, 1963. She is an Arizona native, born and raised in Tempe. She was beautifully surrounded by family as she joined our Heavenly Father on January 22, 2021 after a hard fought, nearly 2 year battle with gastric cancer. Monica touched many lives with her beautiful smile, her big heart, and the strength she showed during her fight. She is preceded in death by her Father Carlos. She is survived by her husband Darrin, her Mother Frances; her five sisters Adeline, Theresa, Connie, Ceca, and Carla; two daughters Stephanie and Jami; and six grandchildren Phynix, Logan, Hadli, Skarlet, Avery and Hunter. She will always be remembered for her contagious laughter, her adventurous spirit and love for her grandchildren. She is deeply loved and dearly missed.

A Celebration of Life is to be held by invitation only. Please contact the family for further information about services, donations and flowers.

Always smiling. I will always remember your smile. It has been an honor to have been your friend. I’ll always remember our conversations and laughter when we walked home from Tempe High school (even though you lived a block away!). Rest In Peace.

Dear Monica,
I will always see you as the bare foot, 10 year old girl I see in my mind when I close my eyes and think of you. It is summer, it is hot, and I burned my feet running down to your house from the Picone's house. I see your brilliant, beautiful smile and big beautiful brown eyes that smiled as brightly as your teeth did! I look forward to playing red light-green light with you again some day, when we are all in heaven!
Love always!

We’ve been friends for years. Softball was really our connection. We discussed cancer treatments. I’m so sorry to her family. Payers to you all

I think of you every day, especially when I hear the song “Memories” by Maroon 5.
What a joyous reunion in Heaven with your dad and my mom.
Will miss seeing your smiling face, hearing your laugh, getting a hug.
Our sleepovers will not be the same.
You are forever in our Hearts.
RIP Smelly Cat...
