A few days have pasted, and we just can not get you out of our minds and hearts. "How many more night times", you used to say, but I am sure that the hours, days, months and years will pass (many night times) and you and your family will be on our minds and most definitely
in our hearts. I promise we will be there and be strong for your Mom and Dad, and the 2 little ones, I know how much they meant to you and how much you loved them all. Just wish we could have seen you more often. I know that school and that work thing really gets in the way. Ryan, God has blessed you and us in so many ways, we can only know we will see you agian. Love you lots and missing you more.

I went to Basha last year with Ryan....Ryan was an amazing kid. He was very kind a loveing.... i know that he was an amazing soul here from God. Ryan you will truley be missed... but it was ur time to go be with God. Ride forever in Heaven!I am gonna miss that cute smile and how cute you always dressed. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Ryan, but my son did. He said Ryan always made him laugh. He is extremely saddened by the loss of Ryan. He has been to the memorial numerous times to read the love and affection that everyone felt for your son. Knowing that God had an higher purpose for Ryan warms my heart. He sounds like a terrific kid and the service was very powerful. My prayers are with the family and all of the people whose lives Ryan touched.

I thank God so much for the impact that Ryan has made on my life, however breif it was. Ryan was in my Home Ec/Shop class in 8th grade, and i remember when we were in sewing he sat across from me. I swear that kid talked to me everyday, no matter what. He always made me laugh when i had a bad day, and i remember his smile lighting up the whole room. I didnt even know Ryan was a Christian until after he went home, but his faith is truly an inspiration to me, epsecially since i've recently been struggling with my own. Everyday i look forward to seeing him again in Heaven, and you are in my prayers. Thank you for having such a wonderful son. <3

There are no words to tell you how much you meant to each and every one of us. You brought so many laughs,smiles and many more things to each and everyone who knew and came to know you.
I was so lucky to have known you and your family for the 16 wonderful years of your life. From Durango to Phoenix and all the trips together in between you will be thought of often.Keep on smiling and keep on riding.You will never be forgotten. We will see you when we get there.

To all who knew and loved Ryan: I did not know Ryan but do have a 17 year old son who knew him and has close friends who were very close to Ryan. I know the sadness my son is feeling even though he only knew Ryan casually. It sounds like Ryan was a very special young man who brought a great deal of sunshine into many people's lives. As a parent of a teenage son, I can only imagine the sorrow Ryan's parents must be feeling. Please know that to all who knew and loved Ryan, you are in my thoughts and prayers. '

My Best wishes go out to both jack and jan.. i hope you both know how great of a son u had.. u raised him well.. i dont think there was EVER a time when ryan wasnt giving a hand and helping make this world a better much friendlier one.. he was such an incredible boy with so much going for him.. by the time he was 16 he had already accomplished many of the goals he set out to reach.. there are not enough words to desribe your son or how much joy he brought to everyones lives.. i met ryan around 4 years ago at the mall.. knowing that we lived close to each other because of past aquantinces..we hung out alot threw out the years and had a great frienship.. he was the one guy friend i had that i felt i could trust wish ANY secret i held in my heart.. and i truly new he would keep it to him and only him.. he was such an honest loyal person and a VERY excellent advice giver weather it was love,friend,drama,homework, or whatever type of advice sumone needed his adive always seemed to work the best..he was such a great dirtbiker and such a cutie!! i truthfully dont no what im gunna do without him he was everything to everyone and now that hes gone i just wish i could let him no exactly how much i truely love him and how many tears iv shed over this...

Dear Jack and Jan,
I am grieving with you at this sudden loss. Understanding that God's will and timing are perfect and that Ryan is rejoicing right now, doesn't make the grief any less painful!
When we lost our son 3 years ago, I remember the only time of day that I felt the grief ease up and the comfort come flooding in was when the mail came. Through the many beautiful cards and heartfelt words, I truly felt surrounded by Christ's love through the love of my brothers and sisters in the Lord. Through that love, God literally carried us and carressed us. I hope that you will experience the same comfort through this small note and the hundreds of others you recieve. I am so sorry!

IV KNown Ryan for around 4 years now.. met him at the mall one day and came to find out we were close neighboors.. not to close but close enough.. we became very close and could share alot with each other.. ryan was one of my best friends and i dont no what im going to do without him.. he was everything he brightened everyones day with just his warm smile and the way he could just lighten up a room with his kind words and wisdom.. there was never a time when i didnt see ryan helping sumone or just careing about sumone elses feelings.. he was loved by ALL and will never be fogotten!
Ryan- Sweetie.. i love u so much and dont u EVER forget that i WONT EVER forget all of those times we shared and all the times u made me laugh.. *cRaZy EyEs* HaHa ReMeMbEr ThAt.. i wont EVER forget that..(that was the best inside joke u and i EVER had) u were such a great kid with alot of spirt and u had alot of goals u set out to accomplish which many of them u did.. u werre a wonderful kid so cute and just soo FUN to be around.. i dont no what life has in store for me but your in a much happier place now.. keep on riding baby we are all watching..everyone misses u deeply even people that didnt no u were crying over the loss .. and u should see your tree.. that shows right there how many people love and care about u.. u were an AWESOME dirkbiker and a wonderful friend.. as long as i live i will never forget u..

We met Ryan in 2000 when we moved down the road from his grand-parents, Butch and Reddie Dekker.
Ryan and my granddaughter, Courtney
Wood, would "hang out" after school,
weekends, etc. He was a very dear
friend to her. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of Ryan's
family and friends. He was very much loved by many people and will be greatly missed here on earth, and
add another angel to heaven.

Ryan was my bestfriend courtneys ex-boyfriend, as well as my friend... we used to go over to ryans house everyday and keep him company as he worked on his dirtbike. i went to tons of parties with him. he will be missed very much, and NEVER forgotten!
now he can jump twice as high, he can ride where ever and when ever e wants!

Though I may not have been very close to Ryan, I would definitely consider him a friend. When I heard about him, I was shocked. It seems like only yesterday we were pretending that the desks in English class were motorcycle ramps. He had a certain warmth about him. Even if you were in the worst mood, he could make you smile. Ryan went to my school (first Bogle, then Basha), and ever since hes been gone the school has been dead quiet, and everyones writing RIP Ryan Dekker on anywhere from their bodies to blackboards. He was amazing and I've known him for four years, and never once did i see him openly not give someone a chance. He talked to anyone, and always made everyone crack up. He's missed greatly.

When I think of Ryan it is a memory of one of my son Justin's best friends.
He was around my house several times a week.
He helped me by moving things to Good Will in the back of his Dodge p/u when I was remodeling my house. I will never forget the cock-eyed hat and crooked smile, or when he came by our house just to set off the alarm on Justin's new truck with his stereo "BOOM".
Ryan you will be greatly missed and always Loved.
