Arvind Patel Obituary

Services will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 5, at Mish Funeral Home (120 Minner Ave.) for Arvind Patel who passed away on July 2. Arvind had resided in Bakersfield since 1978, and was employed as Chief Engineer for U.S. Sprint. He is preceded in death by his parents, Kamala and Prabhubhai Patel, both of India. Arvind is survived by his wife of 39 years, Dhanlaxmi Patel. He is also survived by his two sons, Navan Patel of Phoeniz, AZ and Samir Patel of Dallas, TX; his daughters, Shilpa Patel and Palka Patel; two grandchildren, Roshan and Kaajal are also left to share in his memory. Arvind leaves behind his brother, Vinod Patel of Katy, TX; and two sisters, Madhu Vyas of Bridgewater, NJ and Tani Shulka of Grafton, MA. A dinner will be served at the Hindu Temple at 6:00 p.m., 6700 Valleyview Dr., Bakersfield, following the service. Arvind Prabhubhai Patel Feb. 15, 1942 - July 2, 2007
