Bakersfield Michael was born to Sheila and Tom Davis in Long Beach, California.
He leaves behind his wife Maria Torres Davis. Children: Colby Armold, Elliott Davis (Sarah), Nick Eubanks (Roya), and Mandye Varela (Ray). Grandchildren: Camryn and Ryan Eubanks, Maddie and Macy Armold, Julian and Dominic Varela, and Baby Davis (September 2023). Siblings: sister Debbie Lim (Ben), brothers Jimmy, Joe, Tommy, and Rob (Doris) Davis, as well as several other family members and friends.
Michael came to Bakersfield 45 years ago and worked for Century Calibrating and then later for BNSF, as a freight engineer for the last 17 years.
Michael loved gathering with family at the beach and would go surf fishing on more frequent trips, as fishing was his relaxing time. Michael will be dearly missed by all who loved him.
Services for Michael will be held Monday, August 28, 2023 at 11am, Greenlawn Funeral Home (Southwest), 2739 Panama Ln., Bakersfield, CA.

As we head into the Christmas season I know Mike is with our Lord and Savior and that we will see him again . As I cooked for family and friends at Thanksgiving I used the last of some of Mike´s seasoning . It made me sad that I was out of seasoning but also the reminder that Mike was gone . I gave thanks at our dinner for Mike and his friendship. I pray for Maria and the family daily wishing them well and prosperity.

As we acknowledge a year of Mike´s passing it is important to remember that he is in a better place and as we strive to get through life without him and others that we have lost , know that one day we will be together again! God Bless !

I met Mike while working in the oil fields . He introduced me to his dad’s awesome seasonings and through that connection we became friends . We stayed in touch through his career change and the ups and downs of life . He was always the optimist! He was positive and always concerned about others and their families . What a great guy and a loss to all of us who knew him . God Bless buddy ! Till we see each other again .

Mike will surely be missed by many of us at the railroad. He and I always talked about fishing and shooting. Awesome person and Man! I sure was hoping he and I could have a few more fishing trips and do some surf fishing with him after retirement. Rest in Paradise bud.

I grew up living across the street from the Davis family until we moved when I was 13. Debbie was my first best friend!! Mike was a sweetheart- probably the nicest of the boys! So sad that he has passed at such a young age. My deepest sympathies to the family!! Diane Hicks Olson
