God put his arms around you and whispered "Come with Me."
Your golden heart stopped beating
your tender hands at rest;
God took you home to prove to us
He only takes the best!!!!
Brenda, you are forever in our hearts. We miss you.

Dear Brenda, I hope you can feel the love your mother holds for you every waking moment. You are alive and well in her heart. When we get together we often reminisce and she tells me she can" hear your wonderful laugh and beautiful smile. She says you had the most beautiful soft honey blonde hair. We talk about the way you loved your home and all the little things you did to make it such a beautiful warm place to be. I'll always remember how beautiful you kept your garden, all the various trees you planted so many years ago. And, although it seems to be a little thing, I remember having iced tea at your house one hot summer's day and when you pulled out the ice cube tray, each cube had a little mint leaf from your garden encased in it. It was these kinds of details you lovingly did. Oh yes, and when I had my first granddaughter, Cait, how you pulled out all your real baby doll and all it's little clothes for her to play with...and she still remembers that to this day! I hope you are resting in peace, yet are able to feel the love......and I hope you heard your Brother Gary playing at our last Sepemberfest! You always loved to attend, and I think it was because you knew you would be able to see almost your whole family there. We all miss you girl, especially your mom whose love never waivers... and I know you are looking down on her and watching over her also. With love and fond memories, Loretta

How sad a life that fades away
Gone so soon without a trace
I’m left in the darkness
No flame to light your beautiful face
What held you down, and kept you in your place?
Do they grieve for you now, suffer or mourn?
Or exist as if you were never born
Possession is for things, not angels like you
Nothing left behind to hold onto
An empty spot that no one can fill
Absent, omitted, missing you still
I could never understand the path you flew
I would have helped you if I only knew
Birds of a feather or some kind of plea
You were lost like a coin tossed into the sea
Falling deep to the bottom, how could this be?
If only one more time you could be here with me
We would talk, hug, smile and say it’s o.k.
Memories of happy times will keep us from pain
Believe me now I have nothing to gain
Promise to keep you in my thoughts when I pray
Rest in peace until we meet again one day

To my dearest family, some things I'd like to say...
but first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above.
Here, there's no more tears of sadness; here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I'm with you every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me and He said, "I welcome you."
It's good to have you back again; you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family, they'll be here later on.
I need you here badly; you're part of my plan.
There's so much that we have to do, to help our mortal man."
God gave me a list of things, that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night, the day's chores put to flight.
God and I are closest to you....in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years
because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned.
But if I were to tell you, you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now, than I ever was before.
There are many rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb;
but together we can do it by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy and I'd like it for you too...
that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody who's in sorrow and pain,
then you can say to God at night......"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented....that my life has been worthwhile,
knowing as I passed along the way, I made somebody smile.
So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low,
just lend a hand to pick him up, as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street, and you've got me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps only half a step behind.
And when it's time for you to go.... from that body to be free,
remember you're not going.....you're coming here to me.

My earliest memory of Brenda was growing up on Farmview Ave. With Brenda being the oldest, in her mind it made her the one in charge over Alan and me. The only rivalry that existed was between Alan and Brenda, I just stayed out of the way. On occasion I would have to suffer an indignity of being forced to dance the latest dance craze with Brenda in front of the TV in the afternoon during the Buddy Dean show. Then there was a Sunday night just after the Beatles appeared on the Ed Sullivan show when Brenda somehow convinced me that putting a bowl on my head and cutting my hair like one of the Beatles was the thing to do at that time. My sixth grade teacher was not amused. Later on Brenda got married and moved to Jarretsville. When I visited her she always made me feel welcome and could cook anything in the kitchen with seemingly little or no effort. It would always be delicious, something I am sure she learned from Mom. Brenda and I haven't been all that close in recent years for reasons that aren't important now, but I know God holds Brenda safe in his arms, and I hope he will forgive me for not being a better brother. God Bless you Brenda,
Love Gary

Brenda, my sister… we will always remember you, and the good times that we had. Days swimming at Gary’s pool, camping out in your backyard, painting my nails for me when I was a little girl, and trips to Ocean City. I so often wish we could have had more time to spend together. Your passing has brought such sadness and despair, to all of us. However, let this be a life lesson for the family and friends that you left behind… There is never enough time. We all need to love, care for and be kind to each other. We only have one chance to be angels here on earth as well as in the after life. May you rest in eternal peace. We love you.
