Burton Miller Obituary

BURTON MILLER, died Thursday, November 1, 2001. Mr. Miller was preceded in death by wife, Charlotte. He was a devoted father and father-in-law of Carol and Dr. Eric Blum, of Akron, Dr. Berry and Meira Miller of Ann Arbor, Michigan; dearest grandfather of Hanna Beth Blum, Ben Miller, Emmi Blum, Naomi Miller, and Matt Blum. Also, dear brother of Jerry (Betty Miller, of Baltimore, MD. He was born in Baltimore, MD and a resident of Akron for the past 3 years. He graduated from Baltimore City College, attended the University of Baltimore Law School and John Hopkins University School of Business. He was a member of the Baltimore Hebrew Congregation for 50 years, and its Brotherhood. He was the founder of Chatham Club, Hueblin and Seagram International Wine Council, was Executive Vice-President of McKesson Robbins Churchwill Division, and was a Veteran of World War II serving in the Army in the 29th Division. Graveside Service will be held TODAY AT 1 PM at Rosehill Cemetery (Temple Israel, Section 12 B), Rabbi David Lipper officiating. Family will be at the residence of Dr. and Mrs. Eric Blum through Sunday. In lieu of other rememberances, the family suggests donations to Temple Israel, Caring Community Fund c/o 508 Haskell Drive, Akron, OH.
