Edward Nichols Obituary

Edward Stephen Nichols, age 80, died Wednesday, March 23, 2022 at Coastal Hospice Stansell House in Ocean Pines, MD.

Born in Washington D.C., Ed was the son of the late Joseph H. Nichols and Kathleen A. Sullivan Nichols. He is survived by his wife Barbara Townsend Nichols and brothers J. Howard Nichols and Robert Nichols.

Mr. Nichols was a graduate of Mount St. Joseph High School in Baltimore, MD. He worked in the Defense Industry at Westinghouse / Northrop Grumman and Gould Fiber Optics throughout his career. He was a United States Army Veteran.

Ed had a strong faith and a true love for his family, direct and extended. He was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church, an active and life member of Knights of Columbus, and an active member of the Mount St. Joseph Alumni Association - Ocean City Gaels. He and his wife, Barbara, traveled extensively in Europe, the Caribbean and the United States.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at a future date at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Ocean Pines, MD.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Coastal Hospice at P.O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
