Linda Howe

1939 - 2022

Linda Lundgren Howe, 83, lately of Johns Island, S. C. died peacefully surrounded by her husband and children on Tuesday, Nov 1, 2022, after a long illness. Linda was born October 27, 1939 in Hempstead, N.Y. and grew up in Baldwin, N.Y., though visited beloved family in Baltimore, throughout her childhood. She came to Baltimore to attend Mount St. Agnes College, then married and remained. She received her Masters in Education from Loyola College. She spent her career teaching elementary school.



Linda was an avid athlete all of her life, playing tennis in college and after, and sustained a number of injuries due to her love of horseback riding. She was a fearless and intrepid adventurer, given the opportunity. She was as eager as her children to catch a wave, ride a roller coaster, or get the sled out when there was a snowfall. In retirement she loved her Padonia Swim Club, cultivating friendships there that lasted for years. Linda and John moved to S.C. in 2017 to be closer to their son Andrew and his wife and daughter.



Linda is survived by her husband John (who should have gone first); sister Joan; children Jennifer (Gordon), Timothy, and Andrew (Erika); grandchildren Rowan and Agnes; and many nieces and nephews.



She adored her two granddaughters and will be remembered for her warmth and kindness. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 28, 2022 at 10am at Shrine of the Sacred Heart Church, 1701 Regent Road, Baltimore, MD 21209.
