Andy,
I miss you very much, we had a lot of great times together. I'll always remember as you my friend, next door neighbor, father in law (kinda) and fellow fisherman. I remember the fun times and talks we had at your house, cookouts, holidays, the post and that little place on Newport - and of course Santa Claus!
Thank you for the service you gave for our country and city.
God blesses the good people, you are good people.
I'll be seeing you one day, put in a good word for me

Mr.Andy, it was so good to see you a few months back when I came down for Miss Betty's funeral. I was glad to see you and meet your wife, Miss Dawn. I want to thank you again for welcoming me with open arms into your home when Deb and I were in high school together. You always made me laugh, you were always smiling and whistling and you were like the father I didn't have. I have precious memories of you that I will take with my on the rest of my journey called life! I will miss you but am so very happy that you were blessed with a wonderful wife and family that obviously love you very much. And they should cos you were certainly loveable! I will miss you, I call it an honor and privilege to have known you and I thank you for the man and the example you were to so many!

Dearest Uncle Dick,
May you rest in peace, God saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be, so he wrapped his arms around you and whispered "come with me" You are with your heavenly family now, Grandma and Grandpa, all your brothers and sister, and soon enough the rest us will follow...I will never forget as a child all our trips back home to Maryland..It was quiet the family compound in those days, Uncle Boone with his Wolf, Aunt Boots & Uncle Bob, Barb and Judy, Anderson's all the way down the road, and everyone gathered at Grandma & Grandpa when someone came from out of town.. Grandma Anderson would start cooking dinner when breakfast was over, and everyone sat around the kitchen table that sometimes went into the living room and just talked and laughed with one another....I remember our family reunion's, one year in Maryland, one year in New Jersey, It is an honor to be part of such a great family, and I'm proud to be an Anderson....You will be missed Uncle Dick even if we didn't see one another all the time, you where always here when it was important, tell my Daddio hello Uncle Dick...Rest in Peace...

Three times I am trying to say.. My memory of Uncle Dick , he made us all laugh, he use to play the tiniest harmonica and put the whole thing in his mouth and could play a tune. As a child we saw each other alot , as times and years went by you still told me you loved me.. That is the greatest gift from God. Uncle Dick not only gave out love he is loved by many. You did a great job raising all of your children.. You were blessed to have found Dawn .. To hear Carl say .. he taught me everything I know... what an honor. I am so sorry for the loss of your Poppy..You will miss him a long time..He is at peace , He was blessed to be a blessing to us.. He is the only last living relative in my Anderson immediate family .I am glad we talked and I felt honored to be able to play for him Amazing Grace while he could hear me.. He said I love you.. That is so great. May you rest in peace in Jesus name I pray..On eagles wings he will raise you up...you soar Uncle Dick ...Thanks for you kindness to me ...Love your neice Nancy

May you be at rest .. you were always kind to me as a little girl.. I loved the fact you could play tiny hamonica in your whole mouth. I was proud to say my uncle was a fireman. I am glad I got to see you and talk with you .. I am sorry to all whom loved Uncle Dick . He always had a smile and that moustache. May God give his loved ones strength to continue with the good memories. Uncle Dick touch many lives...I am happy he had met Dawn and he took her children under his wing, he treated them with love and guidance , I was impressed when I heard Carl say . He taught me everything I know.. To see how much love is in your home..God Bless you and keep all strength to endure his loss of life. I have not seen my cousins in thirty years . My condolences to Rick and Debbie as well. I will always remember you, Uncle Dick, as I play my blues harp..amazing grace..Love Nancy , aka neice .

What does one say, as a daughter about her Father that crafted her into the person she is today. The one who has instilled outstanding Morals, education, love and support through out her life as Andy's daughter. I'am Andy's oldest daughter Debra. I had the unmeasurable pleasure of having Andy as my Dad, for him to Love and nurture me from birth until my leaving his nest at age 19. I was always so proud of my Dad! He was an outstanding Baltimore city Firemen, who saved so many lives at the risk of his own. He received many awards for his honor. He was that handsome man who seemed 10 feet tall, to a little girl in his Airforce uniform. He cried with me everytime he had to go away for 2 weeks in the summer for training. He called it sleep away camp for Dads. He was a national guardsmen and over those years that little girl understood what he did at his sleep Away camp. Andy was the dad that knew everything about anything. He whistled endlessly and sang to me. He sang and taught me the song by Lou Armstrong..It's a wonderful world. That is still my most favorite song and meant so much to me dancing with my Dad, not knowing it would be my last, just 6 years ago at my wedding. He had me by his side for those 19 years, to help him with many projects. I always thought I was the only girl who could put out a house fire, Hunt in the woods, fish for hours and fix my own plumbing. But.....THAT WAS THE Kind OF DAD ANDY WAS!!! He always told me ...Maybe you will be as perfect as me one day HaHA.... Dad I know God is blessing you abundantly now for all you have given to me, and I'am not as perfect as you were.... my Younger Brother Richard #2., and to Dawn's children through out the years that they have had you in there lives. My Father, My Dad, It truly has been a Pleasure,a wonderful world, because you were in mine....I Love you now and always... and Thank you for being you! Love Your #1 Daughter Debra...

There are only a handful of people who come into our world, and touch our lives in such a way. Some of the people are just flickers of light, while others are consistent glows for years. Andy, you will forever be our consistent glow. We miss you!

(1 Thessalonians 5:11) Therefore keep comforting one another and building one another up, just as YOU are in fact doing.
(1 Thessalonians 5:14) On the other hand, we exhort YOU, brothers, admonish the disorderly, speak consolingly to the depressed souls, support the weak, be long-suffering toward all.
I pray that this family will continue to receive comfort from family and friends but especially consider the bible as a source of comfort.

We miss you very much already Poppy; all the fun things you said and taught me will always stay close to my heart. I still remember when I was a little girl the rhymes you taught me "Had a little dog and named him Jack, tied his tail to a railroad track along came a train chooco chooco cho and cut my doggies tail in two"
I hope you Pop and Doe Doe are having a few cocktails up there!!
