Mary L. Henry

Mary L. Henry Battle Creek Mary L. Henry, age 86, of Battle Creek, died Friday, May 15, 2009, at Battle Creek Health System. Mary was born on October 4, 1922, in Battle Creek, the daughter of George Lewis and Cora May (Levi) Love. She had been a lifelong area resident. On October 3, 1938, she was united in marriage to Lewis D. Henry who preceded her in death in 1996. She was employed with H.B. Sherman Manufacturing from 1946 to 1951, Fales Shop Rite from 1951 to 1973 and then J.C. Penney from 1973 until 1975. She was active in 4 bowling leagues with Dinnerbell, Golden Pals, and Good Fellowship. Mary enjoyed rock hunting, crocheting, gardening, camping and family activities. Surviving are a son, William L. (Dorothy) Henry of Caro, MI; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandson; and many loved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Larry D. Henry in 2006; a grandson, Larry Lewis Henry in 1992; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m., Monday, May 18, 2009, at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
