Douglas Marx Obituary
A Funeral Service for Douglas William Marx, Jr. of Fayetteville, Arkansas, will be 10:00 am, Friday, September 4, 2015, at Twin Lakes Baptist Church, with Dr. Sam Bailey officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, September 3, 2015, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm, at Kirby & Family Funeral Home.
Doug passed away August 28, 2015, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, at the age of 38. He was born July 19, 1977, in Metairie, Louisiana, the son of Dr. Douglas and Laura Dawn Baukman Marx. Doug lived in Arkansas since moving from Orlando, Florida, in 1987. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, canoeing, backpacking, and camping. Doug is also a talented artist and musician.
Doug is survived by his parents, Dr. Douglas and Dawn Marx of Mountain Home, AR; daughter, Evie Taylor Marx of Fayetteville, AR; three brothers, Jacob (Carly) Marx of Fayetteville, AR, Sam Marx of Orlando, FL, and Jonathan Marx of Arcada, CA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Burial will be in the Kirby's Tucker Memorial Cemetery, Mountain Home, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his daughter Evie Taylor Marx, at Bear State Bank.
