Anthony Carr Obituary

Died: January 31, 2021; Princeton
PRINCETON – Anthony Francis Carr of Princeton, Illinois, died Sunday, January 31, 2021, at his home.
He was born August 1, 1975, in Mendota, Illinois. Tony attended schools in Mendota and Princeton, graduating from Princeton High School in 1994. He attended Sauk Valley Community College and earned an associate's degree in heating, refrigeration, and air conditioning. Through an apprenticeship, he became a licensed plumber. His craft then evolved to pipefitting. Tony's career allowed him to create lifelong friendships as he worked for Whitlock Plumbing and Heating, Triple Service, Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 422, and finally Pipefitters Local 597. Tony was dedicated to supporting his children's interests. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends outdoors, especially snowmobiling, boating, huntingand fishing.
Tony married Mandy Nordstrom on March 2, 2002. He was a loving father to two children, Jarrett and Addie. Surviving also include his parents, Thomas and Peggy (Delhotal) Carr of Princeton; his brother and sister-in-law, Chris and Brenda (Schauff) Carr of Princeton; father- and mother-in-law, Gary and Marilyn Eckberg; and sisters-in-law: Christy (Daron) Robertson, Jodi Eckberg (Glenn Furley), Rhonda Nordstrom, and Jeri (Dave) Smith. Survivors also include nieces and nephews, Seth Glafka, Nicole Glafka, Tommy Carr, Billy Carr, Sara Kate Browder, and Taylor Robertson; and great nieces and nephews, Meiah, Mason, Jace, and Myles, in addition to many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A private service and burial will occur at Norberg Memorial Home and Oakland Cemetery in Princeton. Pastor Derek Boggs of the Evangelical Covenant Church will be officiating. A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to a charity of one's choice.
