Marsha Lynn Downs Jilderda, 73, of Dixon died Sunday June 18, 2023 at home surrounded by family. Marsha was born February 17, 1950 the daughter of Randall and Martha (Gehrts) Downs. She married Tom Jilderda on May 6, 1967 in Lanark. He preceded her in death on February 6, 2022.
Marsha was a member of the Womens Relief Corp and VFW Womens Auxillary. She was a homemaker raising her 4 kids while her husband worked as OTR truck driver. She enjoyed bingo, slots, Nascar, Green Bay Packers, camping, fishing and loved to karaoke with her husband and friends.
Survivors include two daughters Tina O'Brien of Princeton IL, and Becky (Dean Burns) Jilderda of Amboy; two sons Tim (Chauntelle Biagi) Jilderda of Tiskilwa, and Randy (Heather) Jilderda of Broken Arrow, OK; a Godson James Berghammer; three brothers Jim Downs of Buchanan TN, David (Carlene) Downs of German Valley, and Mike (Cathie) Downs of Morrison; one sister Jodi (Frank) Willie of St. Paul MN; eleven grandchildren, two grand-cats; six great-grandchildren, with two more coming this fall; numerous special nieces and nephews.
Marsha was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Stan Downs, Richard Downs and Ron Downs; one son-in-law Dennis O'Brien on December 27, 2022.
A Celebration of Life will be from 11AM-2PM Saturday June 24, 2023 at the Dixon VFW.
