Angela Tucker Angela M. Tucker, age 91, of Granite City, IL, passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at The Fountains of Granite City. Angela was born on April 30, 1927 in Oakland, CA, a daughter of the late Clarence Christ and Magdalen (Lotz) Christ. On August 24, 1946, Angela Christ married Floyd C. Tucker Jr., the love of her life, in California. Floyd passed away on March 21, 1997. Angela was a faithful member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Granite City, IL. She was also a member of the Faith and Light Group and she serve on the funeral lunch committee at Holy Family. She enjoyed volunteering for the Special Olympics, Oath and as a Pink Lady at Gateway Hospital for over thirty years. She was also a usherette at the Fox Theatre. Angela was a member of AMVETS Post 51. Angela and Floyd were proud to serve veterans and their families in many ways. She was a wonderful neighbor, loyal friend and a second mom to all of her daughter's friends. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her parents and devoted husband, Angela was preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent Christ and Walter Christ; and by father-in-law and mother-in-law, Floyd C. Tucker Sr. and Louise Tucker. She is survived by her loving children, Cheryl Barton of Granite City, IL, Denise (Daniel) Worthen of Granite City, IL and Stacey (Richard) Mertz of Maryland Heights, MO; proud grandmother to Lorianne D. Bauer of Champaign, IL, Meshia M. Barton of Lomita, CA, Emily L. Worthen of Maryland Heights, MO and Daniel P. Worthen of Granite City, IL; extended family and many friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 at Irwin Chapel, 3960 Maryville Road, Granite City, IL. In celebration of her life, a funeral mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Granite City, IL, with Father Jeff Holtman officiating. Angela will be laid to rest next to Floyd at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO. Memorial donations may be given to
St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to Granite City APA. Donations will be accepted at the funeral chapel.
