Dale Haverman Obituary
Dale W. Haverman, 63, of Fairview Heights, IL, born on March 25, 1955, in East St. Louis, IL, died on Friday, June 8, 2018, at Bria Health Services, Belleville, IL.
Mr. Haverman was a 1973, graduate of Belleville East Township High School and a 1977, graduate of McKendree University. In 1977, he was a fifth round NBA draft pick for the Seattle Supersonics. Dale worked as a salesman for Engineered Sales, St. Louis, MO. He was a member of Sterling Baptist Church, Fairview Heights, IL, and loved to listen to all kinds of music. He also loved golf, volunteering frequently at Creve Couer City Golf Club.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard R. Haverman; and his stepfather, Ralph F. Klein.
Surviving are his four children, Patrick Haverman of Phoenix, AZ, Melissa Haverman of St. Louis, MO, Zach (Katy) Haverman of Pevely, MO, and Luke Haverman of Fairview Heights, IL; his mother, Shirley May, nee Jaeger, Klein of Fairview Heights, IL; his two brothers, Rick (Lyn) Haverman of Smithton, IL, and Gary (Robin) Haverman of Lake St. Louis, MO; his sister, Renee (Tracy) Seibert of Fairview Heights, IL; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Memorials may be made to Siteman Cancer Center, St. Louis, MO.

Visitation: Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Sterling Baptist Church, Fairview Heights, IL.
Services: A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Sterling Baptist Church, Fairview Heights, IL, with Rev. David Gray officiating.
Dale donated his body to Washington University, St. Louis, MO.

Aloha Dale. Many apologies I did not have an opportunity to visit you again. We do not say good bye in Hawaii. We say, "A Hui Hou." Until we meet again. I hope you are golfing, on that bike ride we said we'd do and eating all the Lasagna until your heart is content!

Rest in blessed peace, dear old friend of my youth. You were too young to be saying goodbye this soon. We are left with wonderful memories of fun times, your big smile, and just YOU. My deepest condolences to the Haverman family and extended family. Everyone loved Dale.
