David L. Garland, 63, of Belleville, Ill., born Sept. 13, 1941, in Freeburg, Ill., died Sunday, Oct. 3, 2004, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Mr. Garland was a case worker for Illinois Department of Public
Aid. He was a member of the O'Fallon Sportsmen's Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harland L. and Edith M., nee Schwalb, Garland; a brother, Jon S. Garland; a brother-in-law, Dennis Mudd; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Robert and Betty Gagen.
Surviving are his wife, Bridget C., nee Gagen, Garland; three children, Ashley N. Garland of Belleville, Ill., and twins, Cassidy M. Garland of Belleville, Ill., and Gillian E. Garland of Belleville, Ill.; three brothers, Dennis L. (Evelyn) Garland of Freeburg, Ill., Daniel S. Garland of Freeburg, Ill., and Douglas L. Garland of Freeburg, Ill.; two sisters, Janice (Dewane) Harper of Freeburg, Ill., and Judy Mudd of Freeburg, Ill.; four sisters-in-law, Electra Rodriguez of California, Jennifer (Scott) Prindable of Belleville, Ill., Kathleen (Jim) Peveto of Caseyville, Ill., and Lee Ann Gagen of Belleville, Ill.; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the Heart Links Family Hospice or to Hospice of Southern Illinois.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2004, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2004, at George Renner & Sons Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with the Rev. Doug Stewart officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Freeburg, Ill.
