Eleanor Thompson Obituary
Eleanor L. Thompson, nee Maxwell, 82, of O'Fallon, Ill., born Aug. 10, 1931, in East St. Louis, Ill., died Monday, Sept. 30, 2013, at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill.
Eleanor worked as a certified nurse's assistant at Memorial Hospital, Belleville, Ill. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in O'Fallon, Ill.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Janet, nee McGhettigan, Maxwell; her two brothers, John and Jack Maxwell; and her sister, Dolores Cox.
Surviving are her husband, James D. Thompson; her two sons and three daughters, James "Danny" Thompson Jr., Janet Goodman, Billy Thompson, Mandy Kabureck and Leah Clark; her 17 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Barbara "Corky" Maxwell.

Visitation: Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary, Fairview Heights, Ill.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at Kassly Mortuary Chapel, Fairview Heights, Ill., with Pastor Hal Santos officiating. Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Belleville, Ill.
