Ernestine Griffin Obituary
Ernestine Griffin, nee Bruce, 92, born Nov. 12, 1923 in Newark, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Red Bud Nursing Home, Red Bud, Ill.
Mrs. Griffin was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Dupo, Ill. She was a former volunteer of Dukare Food Pantry. She loved gardening and taking care of her home.
Mrs. Griffin was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Griffin, Sr.; parents, William Ernest and Elizabeth, nee Fetzer, Bruce; grandson, Jason Griffin; and a brother, Bobbie Bruce.
Surviving are her children, James Griffin, Robert (Becki) Griffin, Jr., and Judy Rentz; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters, Imogene Hearty, Lela Jack, Betty Myers and Dorothy Kollmeyer; also survived many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Funeral: Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, 2016 at Valhalla Gaerdner Holten Funeral Home, Belleville, Ill., with Rev. Marvin Tucker officiating. Interment will be held in Valhalla Gardens of Memory, Belleville, Ill.

RIP Grandma Griffin you will be missed. You've have been a great Grandma the best anyone could ever ask for so sad your gone but you are in Heaven now looking down smiling on us, & guiding us in the right direction we need to be going. We love you.
