To Bob's family,

It was privilege to have the time I spent with Bob during his time at Meridian. He and I shared many laugh during social hour. He was a gentleman ambassador and mediator. I loved his sense of humor, and I know the world is the same place...there's just less in it now that he's gone.

Peace and Blessings,

Osterhout Family,
We were very sorry to hear about the loss of Bob. Bob was quite the character and had a New story each time he volunteered down in the Pioneer Shoppe. It wasn't always the story itself that was so interesting but the way Bob would explain it and laugh while he was going into the details. He volunteered with his Shoppe partner Lee Stoppelmann, who were great friends for many years here at the Telephone Company. Employees would come into the Shoppe and a lot of folks would think the two of them were married because they fought so much. They both had a lot of respect for each other and enjoyed working together on the 1-2 Friday's they volunteered down in the Shoppe each month. Bob was the kind of person everyone wished they would get an opportunity to work for sometime in their careers because he was a very reasonable person with a great attitude and an off the charts sense of humor. The hoops he would jump through for our customers was amazing but his attitude was we all work for our customers. Most folks would never believe to what extreme he would go through to please the customer. Bob was a natural at it and that's how the folks who reported to him did their jobs. He was a great employee, a fantastic human being and a terrific family man. He will be sorely missed by everyone but the Bob O. Legacy will LIVE on FOREVER. Bob is finally back home with his beloved wife, Bonnie. GOD will look over Bob and your family in the days and weeks ahead so rest assured. GOD Bless all of you!

To the Osterhout family:
We were saddened to learn of Bob's passing. We were friends dating back to the fifties. I replaced Bob in Moberly in 1962. We stayed in touch ever since- primarily through Xmas letters exchanged. He was one of a kind and will long be remembered and cherished.

Jim, Sue, Brent and Julie--

I know how much you will miss your dad. I never had a conversation with him that he did not give a rundown of how you all were doing, how great the grandkids were, and how proud of each of you he was. He will always be remembered for his quick wit, good humor and love of family. What a dedicated life he led!

Unfortunately I will be out of town on a business trip that I cannot get out of on Thursday. You will be in my highest thoughts and prayers as you celebrate the life of this great man. Love to you all, Jim McElroy

Brent and Jimmy (and families),

I was saddened to hear of you father's death. The Osterhout and Lukeman families have been good friends for many years and have shared many good times together. "Uncle Bob" was such a fun man to be with, always laughing and telling jokes. His attitude on life was contagious. He was a good man and am sure that your family and his friends will miss him greatly. May the wonderful memories you have of him give you peace during this difficult time. Know that we are thinking of you.
