Patricia Christensen Obituary

Patricia Ann (Morgan) Christensen was born February 21, 1942. She died February 4, 2010, at the age of 67. Pat is survived by her husband Dick Christensen; son Brent and daughter-in-law Dina Christensen; daughter Julie and son-in-law Neal Bailey; and granddaughter Morgan Bailey. Also surviving are Pat's sister and family: Ellen and Larry Gion, their children, and grandchildren. Pat was born and raised in Nebraska. She graduated from North Platte High School and attended Midland Lutheran College for three years. In 1967 Pat moved to Washington. She was a loving partner with Dick in the five parishes where Pat would worship and work. Her gifts of hospitality, music, teaching, administration, and laughter were much appreciated by the people with whom she shared life. Pat worked outside the home in two school district offices, a commercial company, and for over 20 years as office manager for First Christian Church in Bellingham, WA. She retired from full time employment in 2007. For several years she was one of the parish musicians at Faith Lutheran Church. Preceding Pat in death were her father Norman Morgan, her stepfather Lewis Triplett, and her mother Pauline Triplett. Pat's family wants to express appreciation to Pastor Sharon Swanson of Faith Lutheran, physicians who participated in the hope of healing, the Hospice staff who provided end of life care, and all those who supported the family with prayers and cards. A private committal service will be held. A public Memorial Eucharist will be at Faith Lutheran Church, 2750 McLeod Road, Bellingham, WA 98225 on Saturday, February 27, 2010 at 2:00 PM. Memorial gifts may be sent to Faith Lutheran. Moles Family Funeral Homes, Bayview Chapel, Bellingham

Dear Christensen Family,
After just losing our mom a week ago, we understand your pain first hand. Both our moms were young, and gone too soon. I hope that memories of your mom ease the sorrow and loss you feel. My sister and I played softball with Julie many years ago. I remember the support you had from both your parents (as we did). You could tell there was a lot of love in your family. May she rest in peace.

Dear Dick, Brent, Dina, Julie, Neal, Morgan,
The world is not as bright as it was with your precious Pat in it. We share your loss and continue to pray for your comfort as you journey through grief. She taught me so many life lessons that will remain in my heart forever. I know each one of you has your cherished memories as well. May God's love hold you close and surround you. May Christ's peace penetrate deep into the places of your pain to bring healing to your hearts. May you seek to reclaim joy in living, knowing that she would have wanted it to be so. Christ's Peace, Debbie
