Rory Heslep Obituary
Rory was preceded in death by his grandfather, Truman Heslep; and uncles, Rod Fryer, and Jackie Heslep. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Michelle Matchett; son, Jory of Seattle; and daughter, Matia, of the family home; along with his parents; brother, Lance (Gina) Heslep of Lynden; sisters, Renae (Nathan) Hull of Everson, and Renee Bern-
aert of Hawaii; grandparents, Don and Norma Fryer of Bellingham and Thelma Heslep of Arkansas; aunt, Trudy June Collison of Arkansas; and several nieces and nephews who will miss him terribly.
A celebration of his life will be held on Friday, October 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Ten Mile Grange at the corner of Hannegan and Pole roads.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heslep Family Fund at Whatcom Educational Credit Union.

I'm so sorry to hear of Rory's passing. He was very well liked at Meridian. I have great memories of him laughing and enjoying life. I have not seen him since high school but reading all of these entries I feel how much he will be missed and how many hearts he touched. May the peace of the Lord be with you all.

We enjoyed time spent with Rory this summer. Sharing our beautiful mountains, blue skies with many colored gliders in the air, made it fun to watch Rory and see his new interest in paragliding grow. We will miss you. Heartfelt Sympathy to your family.

Rory was always one of those people I loved running into out of the blue. He greeted me with a huge smile and always asked how I or people in our class were doing. I came to Meridian in 1974 for 3rd grade, and he was one of my very first friends here. The entire Class of '84 will miss and remember him always. Although I hadn't seen Rory since high school, his beautiful smile is etched forever in my memory. He was always so happy, smiling, and never had a negative thing to say. It is with great sadness that I learned of Rory's passing. He was a shinning star in the Stepping Stones family. It was a joy to work with him from the first time we spoke on the phone and we had many a pleasant chat when he would come visit me. He was so content with his new life. Rory we really enjoyed the time that we had to know you, i wish it could of been longer. I remember all the visits and even thou you were busy you always made time for your friends, and what you did with coaching baseball for kids was honerable it shows what kindness was in your heart. We truly miss you and think of you often. I wish i could of been there for you, but your pride never asked. we love you and miss you.

I know i didnt know rory to well but he was my step dads friend from work and what i did know of him he was a very sweet and kind-hearted, he was always trying to help everyone. rory you will me missed unconditionly! we love you and youll always be in our hearts.

I read of Rory's passing yesterday, i am very saddend to hear of this.
Rory was my very first boyfreind in the 4th grade only for a day on our way to the roller skating rink with The rest of the school. It has brought back many memories almost lost to time.
