Peter J. Wojcik

1953 - 2021

Mr. Peter J. Wojcik, 67, of Adams, died Friday, May 7, 2021 at his home. He was born in Adams on December 21, 1953, a son of the late Frank A. and Monica C. (Paciorek) Wojcik, and attended Adams schools. He graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in North Adams with the Class of 1971.

He also attended the former North Adams State College. Pete worked at General Electric in Pittsfield for 40 years, until retiring as a health and safety inspector in the environmental services department. He was a member of the Greylock Community Club in North Adams, and enjoyed cooking, playing guitar, kayaking and camping. He is survived by his wife, the former Jamie E. (Todd) Rufo, whom he married on June 18, 1993; children, Christopher Wojcik and his wife, Stephanie, of West New York, NJ; Scott Wojcik of Orlando, FL; Jesse Rufo of Vermont and Stephanie Rufo of North Adams; two granddaughters, Aneesah and Madelyn; two brothers, Francis Wojcik and his wife, Susan, of Dalton; and Joseph Wojcik and his wife, Debbie, of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 12th, from 4 to 6 PM at the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams. Wearing of face masks and social distancing will be strictly enforced. Funeral services and burial will be private.
