Robert Rogers Obituary

HENDERSONVILLE-Robert "Bob" Standish Rogers II, 85, of Hendersonville, passed away peacefully at Park Ridge Hospital, Friday, April 17, 2015 with his family at his side. He was born on December 7, 1929 in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Robert and Nan Rogers.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Calla Rogers of Michigan, his children; Cindy Smith and her husband Fred of Germany, Martha Martin and her husband Tom of Hendersonville, Bob Rogers Jr. and his wife Elaine and Carl Rogers and his wife Mary all of Michigan. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Tracey Bassett and her husband Jon of Mills River, Joe Martin and his wife Annie of Asheville, Kelly Martin of Colorado, Charlotte, Emma and Lucy Rogers and Fritz Burt all of Michigan. Great grandchildren Corbin and Sam Bassett of Hendersonville and brother Buck Rogers of Colorado also survive Robert.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 P.M. Saturday April 25, 2015 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, 51 Wilburn Place, Hendersonville, NC.

We are so sorry for your loss.

A sad time: two cousins, Neil & Bob, same age, passing away within 3 months of each other.

I'll always remember Bob arriving at Nettle Lake and re-building the log cabin and in his spare time catching fish with Neil on his pontoon boat.

They will both be missed.
