Stephen Loyd Dahl Stephen Loyd Dahl, 67, passed away peacefully in his home in the early morning hours of Friday, October 20, 2023.

Born in Denver City in 1956 to Ralph Loyd Dahl of Clifton and the late Eudoris Janette Rohne of Cranfills Gap, the Dahl family moved to Cedar Hill in 1960. Steve met Suzanne Joyce Shaffner in 1971 and graduated from Cedar Hill High School in 1974. Steve and Suzanne were married at Oak Cliff Lutheran Church in Dallas in 1978.

Steve graduated with a B.S. in Industrial Arts from Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos (now Texas State University) in 1981. He worked as a Mechanical Draftsman for Fabricators International in Dallas until 1983 before being hired as a Route Salesman for Frito-Lay. He worked for Frito-Lay from 1983 until 1997 before retiring due to an injury.

Steve enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially on the golf course, where he taught both of his sons to play. He enjoyed working in the yard and had an extensive vegetable garden for many years. An avid car-lover, he spent many years restoring his 1969 Dodge Charger. He enjoyed wood-working, furniture building, tinkering in his garage, and coin collecting. As his health worsened over the years, he left his home less and less. But he still enjoyed the company of his family and friends.

With his passing, he leaves his wife of 45 years Suzanne of Cedar Hill; children Christopher Dahl and wife Amanda and granddaughter Lily of Grand Prairie, Evan Dahl and wife Blair of Grand Prairie; father Ralph Dahl and wife Shirley of Clifton; siblings Jon Dahl and wife Mary of Red Oak and Diane Leggett and husband Jerry of Ovilla; and many other loving relatives and friends.

A visitation is scheduled from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2023, at Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville.
