Alexander Israel Freedman

Of Newton, formerly of Boston, entered into rest May 28, 2006 at age 90. Devoted husband of the late Eleanor (Gitelman). Loving father of Dr. Zachary Freedman and his wife Irene of Pittsford, NY and Amy Jo Freedman of Brighton. Dear brother of Ada Roochvarg of Roslindale and the late Archie Freedman, Philip Freedman, Samuel Freedman and Chevy Helfman. Brother-in-law of Marcia and the late Bert Gilman, Marilyn and the late Allen Freeman and Constance Gitelman. Cherished grandfather of Bethany, Joshua and Marissa. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Late Captain in the US Army during WWII. Services at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St., BROOKLINE, on Tuesday, May 30 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Woburn. Shiva will be private.
