Memories and Condolences

Memories of Anne will always be cherished and I am so very happy that we crossed paths through our ovarian cancer connections. I had kept the last voice mail message which I had received from Anne, not being able to bear deleting it. It seems somehow disloyal or maybe a finality, although I am not sure this describes how I feel. Today, I deleted that message, but not of course the value of the friendship and acquaintance. Fond memories remain.

May your memories of Anne as the vibrant and enthusiastic woman she was be ever cherished. We talked several times after her diagnosis, fellow travellers with ovca, and her hopefullness was always encouraging. She was gone all too soon.

Dear Jon and Family;

I am also one of the very fortunate many who came to know Anne through our ovarian cancer on line network (ACOR). With this was the subsequent pleasure of meeting Anne face-to-face. I was so very impressed and appreciative when Anne set up her foundation in support of ovarian cancer women. It was a further confirmation of what I have known Anne to be, albeit in a short period of time. Her graciousness and her giving for others while indeed facing her very own challenges. Anne is and was simply someone who makes a mark in my and many persons' hearts and I hold onto this, knowing that Anne will stay in that place - in the hearts and minds of the many forever.

To Anne's family: I was blessed to have known Anne since September 2005, when we met at the Weston Reservoir to walk our dogs and talk about ovarian cancer. I had lost my mom in Feb. 2004 and wanted to provide support and encouragement to Anne. I'll miss her beautiful smile, quick wit and loving friendship.

Jon: Our deepest sympathy to you and the family. We have shared so many wonderful memories with you, Anne, and the family***which we truly cherish-thank you.

I believe those with gentleness and faith have a special light within--a selfless light that changes the world little by little by touching the lives of mankind. Anne's beautiful light will shine on forever. She has touched so many hearts through-out her life's journey; as well, will continue to help others through her foundation. Mainly, Anne's light will continue to shine because each of us are blessed to have spent precious moments in her life.

Jon: I was so sad to hear that Anne had completed her life journey. She was such a help to me when I was starting out in the same vaccine trial at NIH that she was already into. My daughter Laura and I were pleased to meet you both in early April. My relationship with Anne prior to that time had only been online. My heart and sympathy goes out to you and your family.

I was so saddened to hear of Anne's passing - I am an acquaintance of hers from the Ovarian Cancer Discussion Board, and she was always so helpful and knowledgeable. She wrote to me a few times and was so full of wisdom and great information. This world will definitely have a huge hole in it left by Anne's absence. She affected many more people than you may ever realize with her insightful posts to our list, and her informative website. She has left this world a better place as a result of her contribution to it, and we will miss her very much. Anne, thanks for being part of our world. May love carry you forever.

To all of Anne's family, we send our deepest sympathies. I, too, am an online friend of Anne's, a benefactor of her wisdom, support, knowledge, guidance, and caring. She often shared her thoughts and ideas, opened doors for me in my search, suggested alternative avenues. I found that to be of such benefit and offered with such gentle kindness. I cannot begin to tell you how much I will miss Anne, but I know that it won't approach the loss you all are suffering. We can only wish you comfort, angels to guide you, and peace.

With our thoughts and prayers.
