ANTHONY BAIO

BAIO, Anthony Anthony ("Tony," "Sonny") Baio, age 83, of East Bridgewater and formerly of South Boston and Holbrook, died peacefully on June 28, 2024. Tony was born and raised in South Boston and was the loving son of the late Anthony and Anna (Landry) Baio. Tony was a graduate of South Boston High School, class of 1958. Beloved husband of Agnes (Trayers) Baio. Devoted father of Anthony Baio and his fiancée Laurie Bosworth of Mashpee, Joseph Baio and his wife Deborah of Holbrook, Michael Baio and his wife Kristin of East Longmeadow, Patrick Baio and his wife Brenda of East Bridgewater and Sharon Hayes and her husband Michael of Quincy. Proud "Papa" of Michael, Anthony, Phillip, Alex, Christopher, Jonathan, the late Nicholas, Megan, and Brianna. Great "Papa" of Oliver. Predeceased by his siblings, Rose Sullivan, Mary Surrette, and Joseph Baio. Also survived by Judy Baio of Weymouth, and many other loving nieces and nephews. Visiting Hours are on Tuesday, July 2nd, from 4-8pm, at the Chapman Funeral and Cremations, 98 Bedford St., BRIDGEWATER,. The Funeral Procession will gather at the funeral home, Wednesday, July 3rd, at 9:30am. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 103 Center St., Bridgewater, at 10:30am. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Wounded Warriors Project.
