To Barbara's Family,

It is with heartfelt pain that I write this note. We will never understand why God selected this angel at this time. Be comforted in knowing she's at a resting, pain free and happier place though hard to comprehend. We will miss the funny conversations, cooking, and the "how to do this and/or that" lessons. We will keep her legacy alive. Barbara was a unique lady as she made everyone feel special and as if you were her only friend. We witnessed this at work with team members, volunteers, donors and even others within the agency. She cared deeply for everyone and freely expressed her love always with a SMILE! We will miss the home been decked for every season, holiday, celebration and because of her passion to make this house a home, we will attempt to keep that legacy going.
"Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!" 2 Corinthians 9:15. Barbara was a gift to all of us.

Dear Richie,

I just got the news, Shawn just sent me the email. I am so very sorry for your loss. I always think of Barbara as she was so very kind & took me & my daughter in while I was up visiting in MA and due to unforseen circumstances we had no where to go for several days until I could fly back home to Miami. That's just how she was loving, kind and a big generous heart. You & your family have my deepest sympathy. Here is a picture of the last time I was we were together.

So many great memories. Living at Rockwell Ave in Medford, and fortunate to have known the DeCourcey Family.
We were like the" Our Gang "Show, putting on plays with Barbara and Betty and all the kids from "the projects". What wonderful memories I have, growing up and having the privilige to have known such a wonderful family. Especially you Barbara. Godspeed, I know that you are at peace and not suffering anymore.
(P.S.) Give my love to "Tom Turkey" in Heaven.

How happy are you right now, with your handsome son back in your arms again! I know those left behind will be hurting for a long time, I just hope they have the Faith in knowing you will all be together again someday. Let your Faith sustain you through the days ahead. With the Grace of God and your beloved ones, who now are cradled in the arms of Our Lord, you will all be OK.
