I was Barbara´s young friend in the years she was riding, and I would have the benefit of riding up with her from our homes in Lexingtown Mass to our respective barns in the Pepperell/ Groton area. I was in high school at the time. Barbara
was so kind to me and we would talk about horses and everything else. I am now in my later middle age and I rekindled friendships with people that have been kind to me in years past. I have called Barbara on several occasions, after decades (!) and most recently not long before her death. Her voice was the same lovely voice as always. I am so sorry she has passed and am grateful for her kindnesses - more important than she probably thought- to the shy and introverted young girl, recovering from a disability through riding, that I was.

Please accept my condolences. I had the privilege of working with Barbara for years at The Boston Computer Society, when I was on staff there supporting the 1000+ energetic volunteers. Barbara was always warm and witty and hugely passionate (!) about the Commodore 64 computer. She was an intelligent and wonderful woman and I really enjoyed working with her. I am very sorry for your loss.

Thank you Judy for letting me know the sad news. Your mother and I and our other friend Micke spent many years on horseback two or three times a week sharing that portion of our lives with each other. I guess not many people know that. Not too many years ago we had a sort of reunion and spent a delightful day sharing memories over lunch. She was a fine woman and a dear friend. My best to you, Susan and Elyssa.
