He saved my life!
It was 3 years ago, a week before a trip to China, when I came in for a follow up. Dr. Kosowsky has put me on the tradmill and although I did great on it, he didn't like my recovery pace. He left the room and in two minutes came back in insisting that I undergo catherisation on the same day - my main artery was 90% blocked. I had my bypass done robotically the next day.
I was Dr. Kosowsky's patient for the past 23 years, he was not only a great Cardiologyst but also a faithful friend and a true Good Samaritan.
I am so saddened...

My family and I are deeply saddened on hearing about the passing of Dr. Bernard Kosowsky. I have been a patient of his for the past 12 years and if it were not for him, I would not be writing this condolence note. He saved my life. To his wonderful family, he has an army of patients that he has helped survive over the many years, who hsve deep gratitude for his brilliance and expertise, and love for the people he has been caring for. We all grieve with you. God Bless him.

To the KOSOWSKY family: May the Almighty comfort you among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem. I lived down the street from you for most of my life. I went to school with you for some time. I remember visiting your house as a child and using a high powered magnet to pull a table across the room. You dad helped my grandfather in the 1970s. I watched your dad walk with you to/from the Talner's 100s of times. I know your dad brought the community together with wisdom, strength and education. I last saw your dad at an AIPAC event; doing whatever he could for Israel and Jews. You are a reflection of your dad's legacy that will continue for generations to come. May he rest in peace.

I had the honor and great privilege of having Dr. Bernie Kosowsky as my father in law for 28 years. He was a larger than life figure in our family and in the community. His children and grandchildren revered him although he himself was a modest man who never sought glory. He was always there when we needed him and could always be counted on to do the right thing. He spent countless hours working for the community, healing his patients and being there for his family. He seemed to know everything and was the person to whom we turned to for advice from little things like directions to bigger questions about medical care. The last day of his life, he was saying the kaddish for my dear mother. Dad, we can't imagine a world without you! We love you!

My heart is broken at the sad loss of Dr. Kosowsky. He was my dad's doctor until he died in 1973. He became my physician in 1978. I loved him as a man and as a cardiologist. I will miss him forever ! Thank you Mrs. Kosowsky for lending his time to me and my family.

We are so saddened over the sudden death of Dr. Kosowsky. He was the
Greatest caretaker of Sydney for over 17years. His constant low-keyed
Manner was always so reassuring to us. He was always a gentleman and
Brilliant doctor.

I will never forget seeing "BDK" riding his bike to work every day, regardless of the weather, and his "lub dub" talk remains one of my favorite diagnostic lectures. He will be sorely missed by patients as well as staff. Condolences to Mrs. Kosowski and his entire family.

My sincere condolences. I have been a CCU nurse for 38 years at St. E's and worked closely with Dr. Kosowsky in the Cardiology dept. as well. He taught me everything I know about cardiology but he also taught me how to be a kind, caring person. And his dry humor and wry wit were unmatched. I am truly sorry for your loss.
