DOROTHY L. HALPERN

HALPERN, Dorothy L (Lodgen) Of Auburndale, MA, formerly of Waltham, MA and Windsor, CT, passed away peacefully, on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. She was 103 years old and was the beloved widow of Abraham M. "Al" Halpern; devoted mother of Phyllis Halpern (David Fixler) and Ellen Halpern; dear grandmother of Matthew Fixler (Nicole Fixler) and Andrew Fixler (Meredith Epstein); and loving great-grandmother of Cooper Fixler. She was predeceased by her siblings, Gertrude Black, George Lodgen and Jeanette Gilman. For the last 23 years, she lived at Lasell Village. Dorothy taught music, played piano and led choral groups until she was in her 90s. Her family is grateful to Mavis Moore of Pawtucket, RI for years of dedicated care. Services will be held at Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 1668 Beacon St, BROOKLINE, MA, on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at 11:00 AM. Memorial Observance will follow interment; details will be announced.
