Ed encouraged me to join our Friday morning coffee group. I'm so glad that I did. Ed had wonderful stories to tell about baseball, WWII, tennis, and lots of other topics. I and the rest of the coffee club will miss him

My condolences to the extended Ericson family. I have a number of fond memories of spending time with Steve and his dad, including a Red Sox game. He was always warm and friendly to me. I had the highest respect for him.

I'm a local Pastor, and Ed came every year to my church to give a Gideons presentation. He was beloved of my congregation, and we looked forward to his visits. Ed often got together with me for breakfast and conversation and I valued his friendship. We went together once to MEPPS to talk to new recruits (I'm a retired Army Chaplain), and we often talked about our military experiences. I'm reminded of the words of C.S. Lewis: "There are far better things ahead than anything we leave behind."
