Truly a beloved Spirit who will never be forgotten.
Elaine was always so welcoming and brought her warm
smile and kindness to share with all around her.
She had a special way of connecting with others and
sharing herself with them. She was so present with her
friends and family and loved celebrating in all the special
events of their lives. We got to know her and Paul over the
years through their good friends Pat and Fred Carey.
We send our condolences to Paul and the Family
and to let you know how deeply sorry we are for your loss.

I fondly remember Elaine as one of the friendliest neighbors on Hudson Street. I first met her shortly after moving there with my husband in 1997. She and her husband Paul had a potluck gathering and we were invited. After that we were part of the extended Sullivan family. We saw Elaine and Paul (and Kathy and Samantha) at every neighborhood Halloween, baby shower and birthday party for the children who lived there. Elaine and Paul have been part of the fabric of the close knit Hudson Street community for years. She will be sorely missed.

I don't know if people knew this, but I'll always remember fondly of Elaine as 'Gladys Kravitz' (from the show Bewitched ;-). Back in 1997 I had moved to Somerville and Elaine introduced herself and said she found my appliance delivery interesting because my appliances were black. I thought to myself - how did she know I got black appliances delivered? Afterwards, we became friends and enjoyed each other's company sharing stories of Hudson Street and watching our children and her grand children grow.

I am heartbroken to hear of Elaine's passing. She will be missed by so many. We had so many great and fun times over the years. She was such a funny person with all her jokes and wonderful personality. She leaves a great void. Thank the Lord we have such wonderful memories which will be greatly cherished. I love all of you. She will be soaring with her Paul. Hope she'll keep an eye on my boys too.
